Pound Cake


Ingredients
All purpose Flour - 2 cups
Eggs - 3
Butter - 2 sticks
Milk - 1 cup
Oil - 1/2 cup (extra light olive oil)
Sugar - 2 cups
Salt - 1 tsp
Vanilla extract - 2 tsp
Baking Powder - 2 tsp

Preparation
Mix the butter and oil in a mixer. Beat it till it becomes a paste. Add the eggs one at a time and keep mixing in the mixer. Add the cup of milk slowly and keep mixing. Add the vanilla extract, salt and baking powder to the mix and beat it. Beat the mix to a very fine consistency.

Transfer the mix to a bowl and slowly add the flour and keep stirring. Make sure there are no lumps in the mix.

Preheat the oven to 375 degree Farenheit. Take a bread pan and place a parchment paper in the pan. Pour the cake mix in the pan and place it in the oven. Bake it for an hour at 375 degrees Farenheit. Increase the temperature to about 425 degrees and bake for 15 to 20 minutes max. This will help form a nice brown crust on the cake. Keep checking the cake to make sure it is not burnt. Take the cake and let it cool completely before you cut it.
