Vegetarian Meatballs

Ingredients
Soya Chunks - 1 cup
Fennel Seeds - 2 tsps
Green Chilli - 2 or 3
Onion - 1 small onion
Garlic - 2 cloves
Bread Crumbs - 3 tbsps
Black pepper powder - 2 tsps

Preparation

Soak the soya chunks in water for a couple of hours. Cook the soya chunks in a pressure cooker with a little bit of salt. Let it cool for some time and then use a food processor to mince it.

In a saucepan heat a little bit of oil. Finely chop the onion and garlic and add to the oil. Saute it for a few minutes and keep aside to cool. Powder the fennel seeds and keep it aside. In a large mixing bowl, add the saute mix, the minced soya chunks, chopped chilli, salt, black pepper powder, bread crumbs and mix.

Shape the mix into small golf ball shapes or a little bigger if you prefer. Take a saucepan and heat a little bit of oil in it. Lightly fry the "soya meatballs" till golden brown.

Serve with pasta and enjoy.
